1. Upload gecka-submenu to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

Auto submenu setup

In the WordPress admin interface, go to Appearance > Menus and select the menu your wish to edit or create a new one. Then:

  1. Add a page to the nav menu
  2. Save the menu
  3. Unfold the added page’s options
  4. Edit accordingly
  5. Save the menu
  6. Repeat as need

Displaying a menu in the sidebar

In the WordPress admin interface, go to Appearance > Widgets, and add the Custom Menu [advanced] widget. Then:

  1. Set the title or check ‘Use top parent item title’
  2. Select a menu
  3. Select where to start the menu from
  4. Set depth (0 for,unlimited)
  5. Optionally check ‘show description’ to chow menu item descriptions
  6. Click Save
